Regional winners World Press Photo 2024 announced

Today, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, the regional winners of the annual World Press Photo Contest were announced. From more than 61,000 entries by 3,851 photographers from 130 countries, the independent jury selected the best and most important photojournalism and documentary photography of the past year. A total of 24 projects and 6 honorable mentions were selected.

World Press Photo in De Nieuwe Kerk

The four global winners, including the well-known Photo of the Year, will be announced on Thursday, April 18. A day later, the world premiere of World Press Photo will open with us at De Nieuwe Kerk. This exhibition will, of course, feature all the winning images.

World Press Photo will be on view from Friday, April 19 through Sunday, July 14, 2024. Tickets are now available online.
