The World Press Photo Foundation and De Nieuwe Kerk present The Stories that Matter –  a talks program exploring the issues and narratives shaping our world through the eyes of photojournalists and critical thinkers. 

Throughout the day, the 2024 Contest winning photographers, who come from 26 different countries, from Tunisia to Brazil, Japan to Ukraine, and Palestine to Indonesia, will each speak about their work in the World Press Photo Exhibition and engage in conversation with the audience.

They will be joined by other international speakers, makers, thinkers and doers on the main stage and across our workshop spaces to explore and discuss crucial topics impacting our world today.
