May 4 – National Remembrance Day

This Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4, the World Press Photo 2023 exhibition will be closed to the public.

The dutch National Remembrance Day, on May 4 each year,  will take place at the National Monument on Dam Square in Amsterdam. Prior to the ceremony on the Dam, there will be a memorial service in De Nieuwe Kerk. From 18:45, NOS will broadcast the memorial service in De Nieuwe Kerk and the wreath laying that follows live.

From Friday, May 5, 12:00, the World Press Photo 2023 exhibition will reopen to the public.
