No, the exhibition is only accessible with an e-ticket. Tickets are available here on our website. No tickets are sold at the entrance desk. Click here for more information about e-tickets and timeslots.
What should I take into account when visiting De Nieuwe Kerk?
We have taken various measures so that everyone can have a safe and pleasant visit to the exhibition. The exhibition route has been adjusted (one-way traffic only). Near the photo panels there is a 1.5 m marking, enabling you to watch the photos without being disturbed. In the entrance zone you can clean your hands at one of the automatic disinfection stations.
Is there an audio tour?
A special, 6-language audio tour is included in your ticket, for kids and for adults. Ask for an audio device at the start of the exhibition, the units are disinfected after each use. Or use your smartphone/tablet, follow the tour via this link. Bring your own head set or ear phones!
Is there a cloakroom to leave my coat?
You can use the self-service lockers to store your belongings. However, only use one if necessary. You are allowed to keep your coat in the exhibition and (small) bags may be brought inside. You must clean the lockers yourself after use; disinfectants are available.
Can I use the toilets in ’t Nieuwe Kafé?
As long as we are obliged to maintain the corona measures, you can only use toilets in De Nieuwe Kerk after requesting so to a staff member. View the map here for their locations. To get to the accessible toilet a staff member will accompany you.
Face mask obligation
De Nieuwe Kerk is very much Corona-proof. As of December 1, 2020, the Dutch government has made it a legal requirement to wear a face mask in public indoor spaces such as museums. This is also the case in De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam. By accepting the Terms and Conditions of De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam at your e-ticket purchase, you agree to this obligation. On the basis of this measure, access to the museum can be denied.
How do I get to De Nieuwe Kerk?
There are two large parking garages within walking distance of De Nieuwe Kerk, at Nieuwezijds Kolk and on Beursplein. There is ample bicycle parking space in the guarded bicycle shed on Beursplein. Traveling by public transport is strongly discouraged. Click here for more information.
