Candlelight Christmas Organ Concert

On Christmas Day (December 25), De Nieuwe Kerk will once again host its traditional candlelit concert. The world-famous organs, which were “packed away” during the restoration of the columns, can now be played and enjoyed once more.

On this special day, Henk Verhoef, our resident organist, will perform on the organs. The program features festive Christmas music by composers such as Hassler, Sweelinck, Buxtehude, Franck, Winsemius, and Bach.

Be enchanted by the beautiful sounds of our organs, enjoy the warm glow of candlelight in the chandeliers, and celebrate Christmas Day at this extraordinary location in the heart of Amsterdam.
