Candlelight New Year’s Day  Organ Concert

To celebrate the New Year, De Nieuwe Kerk is hosting its traditional candlelit concert. The world-famous organs, which had been “packed away” during the restoration of the columns, can now finally be played and enjoyed again.
On New Year’s Day (January 1), Henk Verhoef, our resident organist, will perform alongside trumpeters Nicolas Isabelle and Amir Rabinovitz.

The program features festive music for the Christmas season by composers such as Vivaldi, Torelli, Händel, Monnikendam, and Bach.

Be enchanted by the beautiful sounds of our organs, bask in the glow of candlelight in the chandeliers, and ring in the new year at this extraordinary location in the heart of Amsterdam.
