Summary From 1 August to 22 October 2006 the Rijksmuseumand De Nieuwe Kerk are presenting a remarkable exhibition: ‘Fashion DNA’. This is the first fruit of a two-year cooperative agreement. In ‘Fashion DNA’ the Rijksmuseum’s rich costume collection is the starting point for a unique exhibition on the body, identity and image. The exhibition at De Nieuwe Kerk has been spectacularly designed in a contemporary style by Italo Rota, the Italian architect known for his work for Roberto Cavalli, Dior and others and for his designs for the Winter Olympics in Turin.
Organisation The exhibition has been organised by De Nieuwe Kerk and the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.

Events A wide range of events has been organised around the exhibition, with talks, concerts, films and literature. There are also special courses.
Schools Several cultural education programmes have been developed with learning packages that can be used during a visit to the exhibition (with a class or individually).
Public transport De Nieuwe Kerk is on Dam Square 10 minutes’ walk from Centraal Station. All trams from CS stop at Dam Square.
Parking Parking garages at Centraal Station, next to the Bijenkorf department store and in Nieuwezijds Kolk.
